iPod Touch sleep button fixes

Ok, so I just tried to fix the sleep button on her iPod Touch. I think it’s
already an achievement to figure out the correct name for this part of the
device – sleep button. Try getting a spare part for this – older – iPod
Touch and you’ll know what I mean.

I still have some broken parts from the iPhones I’ve fixed in the past, so I
thought about using a switch from an iPhone 2G instead. This switch comes
with SMD resistors which provide the soldering points for any external
solution via cable. It worked for a few minutes but I knew that once I’d try
to reassemble it, the soldering would come off – which unfortunately
happened right after these pics were taken. Bummer.
